Double glazing retrofit - part 1

In an effort to try to keep my house a bit warmer in winter, I decided to look into double glazing options.

The Double Glazing Company offered the best quote, although it meant that I had to wait quite a while...

Their process for timber framed windows is to remove the entire sashes, take them to their factory to remove the existing glass, rout out the frames and fit the double glazed units, then bring them back and install.

Yesterday the first part of the process took place - removal of the sashes and installation of temporary windows.
