The sun was out as we made our way from the hotel to the ferry terminal at Dun Laoghaire by bus and local train. The ferry to Holyhead was not as smooth as the Stranraer – Belfast trip, but I slept for some of it and managed ok. At Holyhead we had a 45-minute wait for the train to Manchester, but when we arrived there we managed to find the hotel very easily.
